Crochet and I go way back. My mom taught me when I was little. For me, it was the kind of skill that gets tucked away and forgotten until life brings it back around. For me, life brought it back during one of the hardest seasons I've been through. I was going through a difficult time and needed something to pour my energy into. No distractions, no noise. Just me, a hook, and yarn. Crochet gave me something to focus on when I needed it most. It kept my hands busy and my mind grounded. What started as a way to get through a hard chapter quietly turned into something I couldn't put down.
The Brand
As I kept making, something shifted. The pieces got better. The vision got clearer. People started noticing, asking where they could get what I was making and wanting pieces of their own. What started as a hobby started feeling like something bigger. That's how In Stitches by Sam was born. Not out of a business plan or a calculated pivot, but out of a genuine love for the craft and a realization that the women around me wanted what I was creating. Elevated, handmade pieces for women who show up in a room and get noticed. Women who are intentional about everything. Including what they wear.
The Vision
This is just the beginning. Right now In Stitches by Sam is crochet. Bags, tops, accessories, and custom pieces made by hand with care and intention. But the vision is bigger than that. I'm learning to sew. I'm building toward a fully handmade wardrobe and I'm documenting every step of that journey. As the brand grows, I grow. I'm just getting started
